Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday visited the residence of the late party stalwart, Rana Maqbool Ahmad, and offered his condolences to the sons.
The former prime minister, accompanied by Maryam Nawaz, visited the residence of Rana Maqbool Ahmed to extend condolences to the family. Nawaz Sharif had expressed deep grief over Rana Maqbool Ahmad's death and prayed for the departed soul.
“Rana Maqbool Ahmed was a reliable, courageous, and close companion, always offering good advice," Nawaz Sharif maintained.

– South Punjab’s political landscape –
PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif and the party stalwarts exchanged views on the political landscape of South Punjab.
The former prime minister presided over the key meeting at the Punjab Governor House. On this occasion, the PML-N leadership discussed in detail the matters pertaining to South Punjab’s political landscape.
Nawaz Sharif had instructed the PML-N leaders to engage actively in the political landscape of South Punjab.
The PML-N supremo had also urged the need for speeding up contacts with the local leadership in this regard.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, Abdul Rehman Kanju and Pervaiz Rashid.
On this occasion, Nawaz Sharif had also condoled Balighur Rehman over the death of the latter’s wife. Nawaz Sharif said, “Losing your life partner is one of the most shocking events in life. The passing of the wife is a great test for personal life and children.”
“I pray that the Higher Power gives you and your children the patience to bear the loss with fortitude,” Nawaz Sharif added.
