Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, continued his diplomatic activities in Islamabad, visiting the Iranian Embassy to offer condolences and recording his impressions in a condolence book following the death of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Dar expressed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family and the Iranian nation, stating that Pakistan stands with the people of Iran during this period of mourning.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, Dar also held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. The two leaders discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East and emphasized the importance of reducing tensions, adhering to international law, and maintaining close contact to ensure regional peace and stability.
Dar further spoke with Egyptian Foreign Minister Abd al-Tayyeb Abd al-Latif, with both officials expressing concern over developments in the Middle East. They reaffirmed their commitment to continued constructive consultation and maintaining close communication amid the current regional challenges.
The Foreign Office highlighted that these engagements underline Pakistan’s active diplomatic efforts to promote dialogue and regional stability during a period of heightened tensions.
