The ongoing war between the United States, Israel and Iran is rapidly widening across the Middle East, drawing several countries into the conflict.
Since the attacks on Iran began on February 28, hundreds of people have been killed across the region, according to figures reported by the involved countries as of March 5, the sixth day of the war.
War spreads across Middle East
The conflict escalated after US and Israeli forces launched joint strikes on Iran, triggering retaliatory attacks and widening the war across the region.
Several Gulf states hosting US military bases, along with Lebanon, have been drawn into the fighting as Iran launched missile and drone strikes on targets across the region.
The rising casualties highlight the growing human toll of the conflict as tensions continue to escalate.
Iran reports highest casualties
Iran has reported the largest number of deaths so far in the conflict. According to the Iranian Red Crescent Society, 1,230 people have been killed since the attacks began.
Among the dead are 175 schoolgirls and staff members who were killed in a missile strike on a primary school in Minab in southern Iran on the first day of the war.

It remains unclear whether the overall death toll includes casualties from Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iran has been releasing daily casualty figures since the US and Israel launched their military campaign. The latest figure was reported Thursday by the semi-official Tasnim news agency, citing the Foundation of Martyrs and Veteran Affairs.
Civilian deaths reported in Israel
Israel has also reported casualties from Iranian attacks. According to Israel’s emergency medical service Magen David Adom, 10 civilians have been killed so far.
Among them were nine people killed in an Iranian missile strike on Beit Shemesh near Jerusalem on March 1.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has not reported any military casualties.
Lebanon hit by Israeli strikes
In neighbouring Lebanon, the health ministry reported that 77 people have been killed in Israeli strikes since the conflict escalated. Lebanon has increasingly been pulled into the war as tensions with Israel intensify.

Several Gulf countries have also reported fatalities linked to the widening conflict.

Bahrain: One person was killed after a fire broke out in Salman Industrial City following the interception of a missile, according to the interior ministry.

Kuwait: Three people were killed in Iranian attacks, including two Kuwaiti soldiers, according to the country’s health and foreign ministries.

United Arab Emirates: Three people were killed, according to the UAE defense ministry.
Attack near Oman claims one life
In Oman, one person was killed after a projectile struck the Marshall Islands–flagged product tanker MKD VYOM off the coast of Muscat.
The incident highlights how the conflict is affecting maritime routes and regional security.
US military casualties in Kuwait
The US military has also reported casualties during the conflict. According to US Central Command, six US service members were killed in a strike on a military facility in Kuwait.
The incident marks one of the most significant losses for American forces since the war began.

The conflict has also caused casualties in neighboring countries. In Syria, four people were killed when an Iranian missile struck a building in the southern city of Sweida, according to the state news agency SANA.

The rising casualty numbers underscore the growing danger that the conflict could evolve into a full-scale regional war.
