Chinese technology brand Infinix has unveiled its new flagship smartphone, the Note 60 Ultra, designed in collaboration with Italian design studio Pininfarina. The phone made its debut this week at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.
The Note 60 Ultra is a premium device featuring a 200-megapixel camera, a “self-healing” battery, and design elements inspired by high-speed automotive aesthetics. Pininfarina, known for its work with carmakers such as Ferrari, Alfa Romeo, Peugeot, and Fiat, helped create a sleek, aerodynamic look for the phone.
The rear camera module is integrated into a single sheet of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, reducing the traditional camera bump and giving the phone a smooth, uninterrupted silhouette. The design also includes a thin red “tail light” and a small active matrix display next to the camera, drawing inspiration from modern car dashboards.
The Note 60 Ultra comes in four color options—Torino Black, Monza Red, Amalfi Blue, and Roma Silver—each inspired by Italian culture and motorsport.
In addition to its camera, the phone includes stereo speakers by JBL, satellite-based call and data support, and a high-capacity 7000 milliampere-hour (mAh) silicon-carbon battery. This battery features a self-healing function that can restore a small amount of health over repeated charge cycles.
Infinix has committed to providing three years of major operating system updates and five years of security patches for the Note 60 Ultra.
Founded in 2013, Infinix is a subsidiary of the Chinese mobile company Transsion, with a strong market presence in Asia and Africa. Pininfarina, originally focused on automotive design, has expanded its work into industrial design, transportation, and architecture.
