Pakistan’s security forces killed 15 terrorists in Balochistan during two intelligence-driven operations, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Saturday.
The operations targeted groups affiliated with Indian-backed proxies Tehreek-e- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) terrorists, also referred to as Fitna-ul-Khwarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan.
According to ISPR, during the operation, Pakistani forces effectively engaged the militants at their hideout. After an intense firefight, twelve Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the site.
Operation in Basima
A second operation took place in Basima District against Fitna-ul-Hindustan terrorists.
The army tracked the presence of militants and engaged them using mixed-caliber weapons. Three Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed in the encounter, with additional weapons and explosives seized.
Ongoing counter-terrorism efforts
ISPR emphasized that sanitization operations are ongoing to eliminate any remaining foreign-backed terrorists in the region.
These operations are part of Pakistan’s relentless counter-terrorism campaign, “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, aiming to remove foreign-supported terrorism from the country.
