The Judicial Magistrate of the Lahore District Court has restored the frozen bank accounts of popular YouTuber Ducky Bhai, whose real name is Saad-ur-Rehman, in a case related to the alleged promotion of a gambling app.
The court also granted him specific permission to upload videos on his YouTube channel, providing partial relief amid ongoing legal proceedings.
The case was heard at the District Court Lahore, where Ducky Bhai and his wife appeared along with their legal team. The proceedings relate to allegations of promoting a gambling application. The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has submitted the case challan to the court.
Court restores bank accounts
During the hearing, the judicial magistrate ordered the restoration of Ducky Bhai’s frozen bank accounts. The move is seen as significant relief for the YouTuber, whose financial operations had been restricted during the investigation.
In another key development, the court granted Ducky Bhai special permission to upload videos on his YouTube channel. However, the court directed that discussions regarding the pending court case should not be aired on the platform.
NCCIA objects to 27 videos
The NCCIA raised objections to 27 videos uploaded on Ducky Bhai’s channel.
According to the court proceedings, the agency indicated it would not delete those videos at this stage. The court has summoned NCCIA witnesses for the next hearing to further examine the objections.
The hearing was adjourned until March 11 due to the absence of the NCCIA prosecutor.
