Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the armed forces of Pakistan, under the leadership of the Field Marshal, remain ready at all times for the defence of the country, and the nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its forces for the protection of the homeland.
The prime minister visited General Headquarters where the military leadership briefed him on the situation in Afghanistan. He praised the capabilities of the armed forces for repulsing attacks by the Afghan Taliban regime.
PM Shehbaz said Pakistan knows well how to defend itself against any aggression. He termed the actions against Pakistan by the Afghan Taliban regime and Fitna al-Khawarij as unacceptable.
He said zero tolerance would be adopted against Fitna al-Khawarij and the nexus between the Afghan Taliban and elements involved in subversive activities.
