A delegation of the Tehreek Tahafuz Ayeen-i-Pakistan led by opposition leader Mahmood Khan Achakzai visited the Iranian Embassy in Islamabad to express condolences over the loss of lives resulting from Israeli attacks and to convey solidarity with the people of Iran.
The delegation met Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghaddam and offered prayers following reports of the death of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
The visiting group included Senate opposition leader Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, parliamentary leader Ali Zafar, Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and other members of parliament.
Achakzai said the delegation had come on behalf of the people of Pakistan to express sympathy during a difficult time and to reaffirm solidarity with Iran. Other opposition leaders emphasized that Pakistan and Iran share enduring brotherly relations.
Ambassador Amiri Moghaddam thanked the Pakistani public and parliamentarians for their support and expressions of unity during the crisis.
