Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come under criticism from veteran actor Lilliput, known for his role in Mirzapur. The actor expressed concerns over SRK’s choice of scripts, highlighting films like Zero and Jawan.
During a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Lilliput (real name M. M. Faruqui) reflected on Shah Rukh Khan’s 2018 film Zero, in which the actor played a dwarf.
Acknowledging his past remarks, the 75-year-old actor said,
"Bilkul kahan hai kyunki, uski filmein dekhne k baad ye lagta hai ki usko script ki sense nhi hai jo Aamir ko hai."
He added that while Aamir Khan demonstrates strong script sense, SRK often misses this mark.
Criticism focuses on role selection
Lilliput elaborated that a person of average height should ideally not play the role of a dwarf, pointing to potential issues with authenticity in such casting.
However, the actor clarified that SRK gave his all to ace the character in Zero, showing his professionalism and commitment to his films.
While Lilliput criticized SRK’s script selection, he also acknowledged the actor’s loyalty and dedication to his movies.
He suggested that Shah Rukh Khan could benefit from having others guide him in choosing scripts, allowing him to focus on performance while avoiding weak storylines.
Upcoming film: King
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next release, King, scheduled to hit theaters on December 24, 2026. Fans will soon see the actor in a new avatar, potentially leaving behind past criticisms.
