Islamabad United have appointed their stalwart Rumman Raees as bowling consultant for the forthcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), set to begin on March 26.
According to details surfaced on Wednesday as the franchise confirmed Raees’ appointment. The former captain will share his experience and guidance with young bowlers in the squad.
Islamabad United stated that the move reflects the side’s long-standing tradition of entrusting former players with leadership responsibilities. Raees, who once captained the side and became the first emerging player to lead a PSL team, now enters a coaching role with the franchise.
The team maintained that nurturing young cricketers and preparing them for leadership remains part of its tradition. In his new role, Raees will provide strategy and guidance to the side’s bowlers during the tournament.
It is pertinent to note that Raees represented Islamabad United in 42 matches.
