Iran has issued an urgent warning to residents in certain areas of Dubai and Qatar’s capital Doha, urging them to evacuate immediately ahead of possible attacks in the coming hours.
The warning, reported by Iranian media, comes as the conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel continues to intensify across the Middle East.
According to Iran’s semi-official Fars news agency, the Iranian army warned residents of specific areas in Dubai and Doha to evacuate ahead of possible strikes, citing the presence of US military personnel in those locations.
In a statement, the Iranian Armed Forces said certain areas in the two cities could be targeted in the coming hours. Tehran claimed that elements of what it called the US “terrorist army” were located in those areas.
Iran’s Media Operations Center also issued a similar warning, according to Press TV, stating that civilians in particular districts of Dubai and Doha should leave immediately because those locations may be targeted.
Evacuation maps highlight areas in Qatar
The warning was accompanied by maps identifying specific areas in Qatar’s capital where residents were asked to evacuate.
The maps showed locations including Lusail, Al Waab, and Ain Khaled in and around Doha. Ain Khaled lies on the outskirts of the Qatari capital, while Lusail is located north of Doha.

Iran claimed that these areas may contain US military personnel or assets, which it says could make them potential targets.
Iran accuses US bases in region of launching attacks
The warning comes shortly after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed Tehran has evidence that US bases in the Middle East were used to launch attacks against Iran.
According to Araghchi, missiles used to strike Kharg Island, home to Iran’s main oil export terminal, were launched from the United Arab Emirates.
Tehran alleged that US forces had used “ports, docks and shelters” in the UAE to carry out attacks on the oil hub. However, Iranian authorities did not provide evidence for these claims.
Earlier the same day, Iran issued another warning urging people to evacuate several locations in the United Arab Emirates, including the Middle East’s busiest port and two other sites.
Tehran said these locations were being used by US forces and warned that they could become targets. The statement marked the first time Iran openly threatened non-US assets in a neighboring country during the ongoing conflict.
Escalation as conflict enters third week
The evacuation warnings come as the war involving Iran, the United States, and Israel enters its third week.
According to Iranian authorities, more than 1,200 people have been killed since the joint US-Israel attacks on Iran began on February 28. Those killed include former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and more than 150 schoolgirls, Iranian officials said.
In response, Tehran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf countries, claiming the attacks are aimed at US military assets in the region.
The warning to civilians also highlights the role of Gulf states hosting US military infrastructure. Qatar hosts the massive Al Udeid Air Base, which serves as the forward headquarters of the US Central Command.
Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates hosts several US military facilities and has been targeted in previous Iranian attacks.
Analysts say Iran’s direct warning to civilians in Gulf cities suggests a possible broadening of its targeting strategy amid the rapidly escalating regional conflict.
