Bangladesh cricketers selected for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been granted No Objection Certificates (NOCs), but only partially due to their international commitments.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has balanced franchise participation with national duties ahead of a crucial ODI series against New Zealand.
Several Bangladesh players have been issued NOCs to participate in PSL Season 11, but only for a restricted period. Tanzid Hasan, Sharaful Islam, Naheed Rana, and Rashad Hossain have been granted permission to play in the PSL until April 12.
These partial clearances ensure their availability for both league commitments and national team duties.
Mustafizur Rahman’s NOC issued in two phases
Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has received a split NOC, according to a Bangladesh Cricket Board official. He will be available for PSL matches from March 26 to April 12, and then again from April 24 to May 3.
This arrangement allows him to briefly return for international duty before rejoining his PSL franchise.
Parvez Hossain has been granted a slightly extended window, with his NOC valid until April 21, as reported by Bangladesh media. His availability offers additional flexibility for PSL teams during the tournament’s early phase.
New Zealand ODI series impacts availability
The partial NOCs are due to Bangladesh’s upcoming ODI series against New Zealand. The three-match series is scheduled to take place on April 17, 20, and 23 in Bangladesh.
As a result, all Bangladesh players participating in the PSL are expected to be available for these matches.
The decision reflects the BCB’s effort to balance franchise cricket with national responsibilities. While players gain exposure and experience in the PSL, priority remains with representing Bangladesh in international fixtures.
