The Punjab government has announced three public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, issuing an official notification for closures across the province.
The holidays are expected to create an extended break for residents.
According to the notification, the Punjab government has declared public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
All government offices and institutions across the province will remain closed on these days.

The official notification has been issued, confirming the three-day holiday period for Eid celebrations. Authorities have directed all departments to observe the holidays in line with the government’s decision.
Extended break due to weekend, Pakistan Day
The holiday period is expected to extend further due to additional days off. Sunday will be observed as a regular weekly holiday.
Meanwhile, Monday, March 23, has already been declared a public holiday by the federal government on account of Pakistan Day.
With Eid holidays from Thursday to Saturday, followed by Sunday and Pakistan Day on Monday, citizens are likely to enjoy a five-day extended break. The announcement is expected to facilitate travel and allow people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr with family and friends.
