The United States has expressed its readiness to work with the newly formed Pakistani government, regardless of its makeup.
State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller emphasized the long-standing relationship between the two nations, stating, “America has a long-term relationship with Pakistan, and we’re committed to continuing to work together to advance our shared interests.”
Miller emphasized Washington’s commitment to a prosperous and democratic Pakistan, building on the foundation of trust established over many years.
He reiterated the US government's commitment to further cooperation with Pakistan, highlighting the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic ties and working together to address shared challenges and opportunities.
He also pointed out the significance of Maryam Nawaz’s appointment as the chief minister, potentially marking a new chapter in Pakistani politics.
Miller affirmed that the United States looks forward to continued engagement with Pakistan under its new leadership, reaffirming the commitment to promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
