The price of gold in Pakistan saw the second biggest drop in history on Thursday, bringing the rate down from the Rs500,000 landmark.
The price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by a massive Rs24,300, bringing the new rate to Rs499,462, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold dropped by Rs19,097, settling at Rs392,538.

The downward movement was not limited to Pakistan. In the global bullion market, gold fell by $245, reaching $4,765 per ounce.
