The Lahore High Court has adjourned the proceedings till next week on PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi's intra-court appeal against nullifying the decision to discharge him in an anti-corruption case.
On the next hearing, the court has summoned the Punjab advocate general for assistance.
A two-member bench headed by Justice Shahram Sarwar Chaudhary heard the case.
The intra-court appeal maintained that the Gujranwala Magistrate had ordered to discharge Parvez Elahi in the anti-corruption case.
However, the Punjab government approached the Lahore High Court against the decision of the judicial magistrate. The single bench annulled the decision to discharge Elahi.
The appeal stated that the judgement of the single bench was contrary to the facts, and requested the high court to annul it.
The court should uphold the decision to discharge Parvez Elahi in the anti-corruption case, it further sought.
