In the previous war, we suffered many casualties, but yesterday the number of our martyrs was very low; the armed forces are fully in control thanks to their prior experience.

Larijani emphasized that these measures are part of a structured transition, aimed at maintaining both political and military stability during this period of national mourning.
Remembering Khamenei
Reflecting on the late Supreme Leader’s life, Larijani said, “Khamenei insisted on having a normal life and didn’t want at all to have a different situation. Well, this incident is a very bitter incident for all of us.”
He described the loss as profoundly painful for the nation but framed it within a historical context, reminding Iranians of their resilience: “Throughout its history, the Iranian nation has faced worse events than this. The Mongols devastated all of Iran, yet the Iranian people stood against them.”
Condemnation of foreign interference
Larijani criticized foreign powers for meddling in Iran’s affairs. He particularly targeted the United States, stating, “Colonial powers, whenever they enter a country—through deception or any other means—seek to plunder its resources. The individual currently in charge in the United States is a complete symbol of this plunder.”
Assurance of stability
Despite the recent attacks, Larijani assured citizens that Iran’s armed forces remain fully in control: “In the previous war, we suffered many casualties, but yesterday the number of our martyrs was very low; the armed forces are fully in control thanks to their prior experience. In the coming days, we will have ups and downs, but the overall outlook will be bright.”
He also stressed that martyrdoms strengthen the nation, citing Khamenei’s belief that such sacrifices make the people more steadfast. “Our nation possesses an inherent awareness, and God willing, it will pass through this difficult passage with honor,” Larijani added.
