Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said Ukraine is considering the deployment of its experts to Gulf countries to assist in defence against Iranian drones and missiles.
President Zelensky said he had spoken during the past two days with the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and Bahrain.
He said that, after consultations with his ministers and military commanders, a plan had been prepared to assist the Gulf states.
The Ukrainian president said the plan would not involve any compromise on Ukraine’s security and sovereignty.
In a statement, President Zelensky said Ukraine could play a role in protecting lives and in stabilising the situation in the region.
