Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar stated that the Afghan Taliban regime will not be allowed to hide behind lies and must learn lessons from past failures.
Speaking on the recent situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, he emphasized that the unprovoked firing by the Taliban is being met with a robust and effective response, which will continue.
Minister Tarar highlighted that false and baseless propaganda is being spread through Afghan Taliban sources and certain Indian social media accounts, which bear no relation to reality.
He said such rumors are designed to cover up humiliation, and that following a decisive setback on the ground, the Taliban are resorting to deception and propaganda.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan will not allow the Taliban to hide behind lies. “Alhamdulillah, Pakistan’s professional armed forces are thwarting the attackers’ ambitions.
According to verified reports, 36 Taliban militants have been neutralized so far, while two Pakistani soldiers were martyred and three others injured defending the homeland,” he said. Minister Tarar added that Pakistan will continue to crush the malicious designs of any enemy who eyes the country with ill intentions.
