Multan Sultans have made a surprise entry for the forthcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League, as the franchise previously known as Sialkot Stallionz has been renamed.
Details which surfaced on Tuesday confirmed that the team name of Sialkot Stallionz has been changed to Multan Sultans. Gohar Shah will serve as the new chief executive officer of the franchise.
Speaking on the development, PSL Chief Executive Salman Naseer said Gohar Shah had requested that the name Multan Sultans be retained in place of Sialkot Stallionz.
He said the change was approved after extensive discussions.
The new franchise fee has been fixed at Rs2 billion.
