President Asif Ali Zardari voiced confidence in the Sindh chief minister and members of the cabinet. He told Murad Ali Shah that he and his team were doing good work and urged them to maintain the continuity of their efforts. He also said the public should receive as much relief as possible during difficult circumstances.
On the occasion, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said the world was presently facing conditions of war and politicians should remain on one page.
The PPP chairman said he was pleased with the performance of the Sindh government. Despite challenges, he said, the manner in which the Chief Minister presents the province’s case was commendable.
Referring to the Gul Plaza fire incident, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said they were not among those who start fires but among those who extinguish them. Criticism of those confronting the tragedy was difficult to understand.
He also said Murtaza Wahab, the Mayor of Karachi, had become unacceptable to some because certain people did not want a jiyala mayor in the provincial capital.
