Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the country’s president are safe, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said.
The statement was issued by the head of information for the office of the supreme leader. He said the enemy was resorting to psychological warfare. He urged the public to remain informed and vigilant.
Iran’s National Security Adviser Ali Larijani said Iran would force the Zionist regime and the United States to regret their actions. He said the brave Iranian armed forces would give the inhabitants of the hell of oppression an unforgettable lesson.
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said American and Israeli aggression against Iran signalled a destructive war. He said the loss of civilian lives in the attacks was tragic and added that the United States had opened a new front. He said the American people did not want another war aimed at regime change and were seeking relief from inflation and a return to peace.
US President Donald Trump held telephone conversations with leaders of Gulf states, the White House spokesperson said. He spoke with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates. The President also spoke with the Secretary-General of NATO, the spokesperson added.
