The process of repatriating Pakistani citizens stranded in Iran has commenced, following heightened tensions and the prospect of conflict between Iran and Israel.
According to the Gwadar deputy commissioner, Naqeebullah Kakr, a total of 51 Pakistani citizens, including five students, crossed the Gabd-Rimdan border safely and reached Pakistan. Those returning comprise traders, tourists, and students.
The deputy commissioner stated that the Federal Investigation Agency is providing round-the-clock immigration services at the border to ensure that the repatriation process proceeds without interruption.
He added that temporary accommodation, food, and travel facilities are being provided to returnees by the district administration.
The administration continues to monitor the situation closely and is making arrangements for the possible return of additional Pakistani nationals.
