The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned what it described as blatant Iranian missile attacks on its territory and other Gulf nations, warning of serious consequences if such aggression continues.
Abu Dhabi confirmed that its air defence systems intercepted several missiles, but debris fell in a residential area, killing a civilian and causing material damage.
The UAE Ministry of Defence said the country had been subjected to a “blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles.”
According to the statement, UAE air defence systems dealt with the incoming missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of them.

However, debris from the intercepted missiles fell in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing material damage and killing a civilian of Asian nationality. Authorities later clarified that the victim was a Pakistani national.
The ministry described the attack as a “dangerous escalation” and a “cowardly act.”
Strong condemnation, solidarity with Gulf states
In a statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) condemned and denounced in the strongest terms the Iranian missile strikes targeting the UAE and several brotherly nations in the region.
The UAE said the attacks represent a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and a clear breach of international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
The ministry affirmed the UAE’s full solidarity and unwavering support for the countries affected by the attacks, emphasizing that regional security is indivisible. It warned that any infringement on the sovereignty of one state constitutes a direct threat to the stability and security of the entire region.
Warning of serious consequences
The UAE foreign ministry said Iran’s continued aggression could have serious consequences and marked a significant threat to regional stability.
It reiterated its categorical rejection of using the territories of regional states as arenas for settling disputes or expanding the scope of conflict.

The statement warned that continued violations would undermine regional and international security, threaten global economic stability, and put energy security at risk.
Right to defend
While urging restraint, the UAE reiterated its call for diplomatic solutions and serious dialogue as the most effective path to resolving the crisis and safeguarding regional stability.
At the same time, the UAE underscored that it retains its full and legitimate right to respond to the attacks in accordance with international law.
The government stressed that it will not tolerate any compromise to its sovereignty, national security, or territorial integrity under any circumstances.
“We have the right to defend ourselves, but diplomacy is our priority,” the foreign ministry said.
Condolences for Pakistani victim
The UAE offered its sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to the family and relatives of the Pakistani national who lost his life in the attack.
Officials expressed full solidarity with the victim’s family and emphasized that targeting civilians and civilian objects is unequivocally condemned and strictly prohibited under international law and humanitarian principles.

The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, alongside the UAE Air Force, underscoring the broader regional implications of the escalating conflict.
