Honor has officially introduced the Honor X8d in Pakistan, several months after its global debut. The device enters the lower midrange segment with an emphasis on display quality, camera performance and battery life.
The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 69,999 in the local market. It is currently available in a single memory configuration, with support for microSD card expansion.
Display and Design
The Honor X8d features a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (1080p) resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel includes an optical in-display fingerprint sensor and is surrounded by relatively slim and evenly sized bezels.
Despite housing a large battery, the smartphone maintains a slim 7.5mm profile. The body is made of plastic and carries an IP65 rating, offering protection against dust and water splashes.
Camera Setup
The device is equipped with a 108MP primary camera featuring Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), paired with a 5MP ultrawide sensor.
On the front, it offers a 16MP selfie camera housed in a punch-hole cutout. Video recording is capped at 1080p at 30 frames per second, in line with the capabilities of its chipset.
Performance and Software
Powering the Honor X8d is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s 4G Gen 2 processor, which delivers performance comparable to entry-level midrange chips such as the Snapdragon 685. The phone comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
It runs on Android 15 with MagicOS 10 pre-installed.
Battery and Additional Features
One of the standout features of the device is its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery — a relatively large capacity in this price segment in Pakistan. The handset supports 45W wired charging.
Other features include dual-band WiFi and a single speaker setup. The device does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack.
With its high-resolution camera, AMOLED display and sizable battery, the Honor X8d positions itself as a feature-focused option under Rs 70,000. However, its chipset indicates that it is better suited for everyday tasks rather than heavy gaming or intensive performance demands.
