Donald Trump told reporters at the White House that “everything has been finished” in Iran, claiming that the Iranian navy along with its monitoring and radar systems had been destroyed.
He added that the United States is “doing a very good job” in Iran.
Providing details, Trump said the US had held negotiations with Iran, but accused Tehran of attacking countries that have no connection to the conflict. He claimed that 49 leaders, including Iran’s supreme leader, had been targeted. According to him, many individuals inside Iran are now seeking immunity.
He further alleged that Iran no longer possesses effective air defense and surveillance capabilities and is only targeting civilian locations in Gulf countries.
Trump also warned that a third wave of attacks against Iran is forthcoming. He said those demanding immunity could surrender at any time and claimed that more Iranian leaders were targeted earlier in the day. “Iran should be prepared for major damage,” he said, adding that developments will unfold in due course but the military operation must first be completed.
On trade matters, Trump stated that the US is ending trade relations with Spain and will soon halt all business activities with the country. He also expressed dissatisfaction with the United Kingdom. He predicted that oil prices would rise temporarily before falling again. Criticizing Democrats, he said they are “losers,” and emphasized that the United States possesses a vast stockpile of ammunition and weapons. He added that tariffs have made America a wealthy nation.
The US president further said that Iran has targeted Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Oman. He expressed hope that oil prices would decline once the conflict ends. Referring to “Operation Midnight Hammer,” Trump said that without the operation, Iran would have acquired nuclear weapons.
