Hajj flight operations for Pakistani pilgrims may be affected this year due to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs is evaluating flight schedules carefully, considering airspace safety and the ongoing Iran-Israel conflict.
According to sources, the first Hajj flight under the government scheme is currently scheduled for April 18.
Out of 120,000 pilgrims under the government scheme, visas have been issued to 80,000 so far.
Arrangements for accommodation, transport, and group management are in progress, with all logistics expected to be finalized soon.
Monitoring Middle East situation
The ministry is closely watching the ongoing war in the Middle East, which may impact flight operations.
Pilgrims are expected to receive final flight schedules before Eid-ul-Fitr, ensuring they have sufficient time to plan their journey.
Details regarding Hajj flights and individual pilgrim information will be available through the Pak Hajj app and the official website of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
This year, Pakistan plans to send a total of 189,000 pilgrims to perform Hajj.
