The Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has expressed annoyance with the government for not being taken into confidence over legislation in Parliament.
According to details surfaced on Thursday, the government members Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Talal Chaudhry and Gul Asghar are making efforts to placate the MQM leadership.
According to details, the MQM-P maintains that it is not taken into confidence on legislative matters. “Why are we not consulted regarding legislation?” the party asked.
Government ministers assured the MQM-P that its concerns would be addressed and that such complaints would not arise in future. After considerable effort, government ministers persuaded the MQM-P to attend the meeting, but the session was later adjourned.
