A woman has recently broken an 18-year-old world record by continuously counting numbers aloud for several weeks.
The achievement was accomplished by Nigerian woman Favour Oguche Ani. She counted numbers out loud for 70 days, spending around 14 hours each day on the challenge.
During this period, she successfully counted from 1 all the way to 1,070,000.
The previous record stood at counting up to 1,000,000 and had remained unbeaten for nearly 18 years. By going 70,000 numbers further than the earlier milestone, Ani established a new record.
To ensure transparency and verification, she streamed the entire counting process live on YouTube. The livestream allowed viewers to watch and confirm the authenticity of her effort as it unfolded.
The counting challenge began in October 2025 and continued until around December. Most of the time, Ani carried out the activity from her home, maintaining a consistent schedule throughout the two-month period.
Her endurance and dedication drew attention online, as counting for such long hours every day required remarkable focus and persistence. The feat has now set a new benchmark for one of the most unusual endurance records.
