The district administration has imposed Section 144 across North Waziristan to maintain peace and ensure public safety during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Karim announced the decision, saying the measures are aimed at preventing accidents and maintaining law and order during the festive period.
According to the district administration, Section 144 has been enforced throughout North Waziristan to ensure peace and protect human lives during Eid.
The decision was taken by Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yousuf Karim as part of precautionary measures for public safety. Officials say the restrictions are intended to prevent dangerous activities and maintain a peaceful environment during the holiday.
Ban on aerial firing, toy guns and firecrackers
Under the official notification, a complete ban has been imposed on aerial firing, toy guns, firecrackers and pressure horns. The restrictions will remain in effect from March 12 to 31, 2026.
Authorities believe these measures will help reduce the risk of injuries and disturbances during Eid celebrations.
Restrictions on one-wheeling and other risky activities
The notification also imposes a strict ban on one-wheeling and drifting on roads across the district. In addition, activities such as bathing in rivers and lakes, boating and fishing have also been prohibited during the specified period.
These steps are aimed at preventing accidents and ensuring public safety.
The district administration has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone violating these restrictions. According to the notification, violators will face action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Authorities have urged residents to follow the rules to ensure a safe and peaceful environment.
Curfew to be imposed
Deputy Commissioner Karim also announced that a curfew will be imposed in North Waziristan from 5am to 7pm tomorrow. Residents have been requested to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and follow the instructions issued by the administration.
The district administration has appealed to the public to fully cooperate with authorities to ensure the peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Citizens have been urged to avoid prohibited activities and follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain order in the district.
