Pakistan’s armed forces carried out targeted airstrikes in Afghanistan under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, destroying several terrorist hideouts and military installations, according to security sources.
The operation was conducted during the night of March 12–13, targeting militant infrastructure linked to Afghan Taliban elements and Fitna al-Khawarij.
According to security sources, Pakistani forces carried out precision airstrikes inside Afghanistan, successfully targeting multiple militant positions.
During the operation, four hideouts belonging to Afghan Taliban elements and Fitna al-Khawarij were struck and destroyed. The strikes were part of a broader counterterrorism effort aimed at dismantling militant networks operating across the region.
Infrastructure of 313 Corps targeted in Kabul
Security sources said the infrastructure of the 313 Corps in Kabul was destroyed during the operation. The facility was reportedly linked to militant activities and was considered a significant operational site for terrorist groups.
Officials described the strike as a major blow to the group’s operational capabilities.
Terrorist camp in Kandahar destroyed
The operation also targeted the Tarawa terrorist camp located in Kandahar province, which was successfully destroyed during the airstrikes.
According to security sources, the strikes also destroyed the oil storage facility at Kandahar airfield along with nearby logistics infrastructure. The destruction of these facilities is expected to disrupt militant supply lines and operational support systems.
Airstrike conducted in Paktia province
Another strike was carried out on the Shernao terrorist camp in Paktia province, according to security sources. Officials say the targeted camp was being used by militants as a base for planning and coordination.
The operation aimed to eliminate infrastructure that supports cross-border militant activity.
According to the Ministry of Information, the number of Afghan Taliban regime operatives killed has reached 663, while 887 operatives have been injured during the ongoing operation.
It further said 249 posts have been destroyed and 44 posts captured so far in the operation. In addition, 224 tanks and weapons have been destroyed, while airstrikes have been carried out on 70 terrorist locations as part of the operation.
Security sources confirmed that operations under Operation Ghazab Lil Haq will continue until their targets are achieved. The campaign is part of Pakistan’s broader effort to counter terrorism and dismantle militant networks threatening regional security.
Authorities say further actions may follow as security forces continue their operations.
