Israeli authorities have reported that during ongoing hostilities, Iran successfully shot down 20 Israeli drones, though no Israeli fighter jets have been targeted so far.
Officials noted that Israeli pilots have repeatedly faced missile threats, with one pilot reportedly coming dangerously close to being hit.
Separately, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said yesterday that it targeted a US F-35 stealth fighter. A spokesperson for US Central Command (CENTCOM), Tim Hawkins, claimed that the aircraft landed safely and the pilot remains in stable condition.
According to Al Jazeera, the IRGC stated that the F-35 was engaged over Iranian airspace during a combat mission. CENTCOM clarified that despite the attempted attack, the fighter jet returned safely, and the pilot was unharmed.
These developments highlight the increasing tension and aerial confrontations between Israel, Iran, and U.S. forces in the region.
