Punjab caretaker Information Minister Amir Mir on Friday made it clear that all the public schools in Punjab will remain open on December 2 (Saturday).
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Mir said: "The winter vactions will start from December 18 to January 1 in the public schools."
2 دسمبر بروز ہفتہ پنجاب بھر کے تمام سرکاری تعلیمی ادارے حسب معمول کھلے رہیں گے۔ سرکاری تعلیمی اداروں میں سردیوں کی چھٹیاں 18 دسمبر سے یکم جنوری تک ہوں گی۔

The minister went on to say that all the markets, shops and restaurants will remain open across Punjab on Saturday and Sunday.
In the upcoming week, steps will be taken considering the situation of the smog in the province.
