Former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Saturday shifted to the Rawalpindi Institute of Cardiology (RIC) from Adiala Jail after pain in the chest.
Sources divulged that Elahi's medical examination was conducted last night after he complained of having chest pain.
“Elahi had also had a chest infection. He had refused to undergo a thallium scan test without the presence of family members,” the sources added.

Earlier it was reported that former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi’s wife, Qaisara Elahi, was stopped on Friday from submitting the nomination papers ahead of the general elections.
Elahi’s wife had reached the gate to submit the nomination papers from NA-64, where she was stopped.
