Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday contacted 12 defected elected National Assembly lawmakers.
According to party sources, the disgruntled lawmakers will hold a meeting with PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif after getting assurance.
Sources privy to the development said: "If the 12 defected lawmakers return back to the PML-N, the party will be in a formidable position."

The political parties were looking to complete required number games following the general elections as the PML-N contacted the Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F).
PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif had held a telephonic conversation with JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
During the conversation, matters pertaining to the recently held polls were discussed.
Shehbaz Sharif and Rehman resolved to continue contact with each other.
