Federal Minister for Information Atta Tarar shared details of the operation on X (formerly Twitter), stating that 297 operatives of the Afghan Taliban regime have been killed so far, while 450 Khawarij sustained injuries in Pakistan’s robust retaliatory action.
He said 29 locations inside Afghanistan were targeted in air strikes. Pakistan destroyed 135 tanks and vehicles of the Afghan Taliban regime. Pakistani forces seized 18 check posts of the Taliban regime, while 89 of their check posts were destroyed.
It is pertinent to note that the Pakistan Armed Forces continue to deliver a forceful and effective response to last night’s unprovoked aggression by the Afghan Taliban regime. The Pakistan Air Force carried out operations today in Afghanistan’s Laghman and Nangarhar provinces.
According to security sources, the retaliatory action by the Pakistan Air Force resulted in the complete destruction of a Taliban regime arms depot, an ABF battalion headquarters in Laghman province, and the Nangarhar Brigade headquarters.
The Pakistan Army also destroyed a major ammunition depot and large petroleum (POL) reserves in Afghanistan. Security forces successfully targeted and destroyed several Afghan Taliban check posts along the Pak-Afghan border.
Security sources said the Pakistan Army troops, during the operation, also took control of a vehicle belonging to the Afghan Taliban forces. Operation Ghazab Lil Haq remains under way and will continue until its objectives are secured.
