The Pakistan Army is striving for the promotion of hockey and other sports across the country.
The third Chief of Army Staff Inter-Club National Hockey Championship 2026, organised by the Pakistan Army, took place in Lahore. The final of the third national-level hockey championship was played between Bacha Khan Hockey Club Bannu and Rana Mujahid Ali Hockey Club Faisalabad.
Bacha Khan Hockey Club Bannu secured the title after scoring five goals against three.
A large number of former Olympians and hockey enthusiasts were present to witness the final. At the conclusion of the match, the chief guest, GOC Mehfooz Garrison, encouraged the players and distributed prizes.
Former Olympians said that under the talent hunt programme, the future of hockey in the country once again appears bright.
They maintained that such events will prove vital in bringing forward new hockey talent in the country.
Spectators expressed gratitude to the Pakistan Army for organising the championship to promote hockey in the country.
