Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate telephone conversations with the Sultan of Oman and the Crown Prince of Kuwait, focusing on regional stability, solidarity, and strengthening bilateral relations.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received a telephone call from His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman earlier in the afternoon.
During the warm and cordial conversation, both leaders exchanged greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid, conveying their best wishes for peace, prosperity, and well-being to the people of both countries and the wider Muslim Ummah.
Discussion on regional situation, solidarity
The two leaders discussed the evolving regional situation in detail.
Prime Minister Shehbaz expressed Pakistan’s solidarity with the brotherly people of Oman over the loss of precious lives and injuries caused by recent attacks in various parts of the country.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and constructive dialogue to address regional challenges.
Commitment to stronger Pakistan-Oman ties
Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening the longstanding fraternal relations between Pakistan and Oman. In this context, the prime minister reiterated his invitation to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to undertake an official visit to Pakistan at his convenience.
The PM also responded positively to the Sultan’s gracious invitation to visit Oman at a mutually convenient date.
Shehbaz holds talks with Kuwait crown prince
In a separate call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif spoke with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait.
During their conversation, the two leaders exchanged Eid ul Fitr greetings and extended best wishes for peace and prosperity to the people of Pakistan, Kuwait, and the Muslim Ummah.
The PM conveyed his warm regards to the Emir of Kuwait, His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah. He strongly condemned the attacks on Kuwait, expressed condolences over the loss of lives, and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
Prime Minister Shehbaz also reiterated Pakistan’s solidarity and support for the brotherly people of Kuwait.
Emphasis on dialogue and regional cooperation
The prime minister stressed the need for all regional countries to work together to maintain peace and stability. He underscored that differences should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy, reaffirming Pakistan’s consistent stance on peaceful conflict resolution.
Both leaders reaffirmed the strong historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Kuwait. The Prime Minister reiterated his invitation to the Crown Prince of Kuwait to undertake an official visit to Pakistan.
At the conclusion of the call, both sides agreed to remain in close contact on matters of mutual interest.
