Bollywood’s much-discussed film Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, has created a massive impact at the box office, crossing ₹100 crore on its very first day and breaking multiple records.
Released on a regular working day, the film earned an impressive ₹102.55 crore in India on day one. When combined with paid previews from the previous day, which brought in approximately ₹43 crore, the total opening collection has exceeded ₹146 crore.
This marks the biggest opening in the history of Hindi cinema, surpassing the previous record held by Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan, which had an opening of ₹64.50 crore.
The film performed exceptionally well in Bangalore, where it collected around ₹15 crore on its first day alone. Despite having a runtime of nearly four hours, it is being screened in over 21,000 shows nationwide.
Several cinemas are offering special screenings, and audience interest remains strong despite increased ticket prices.
Actor Ranveer Singh has achieved the biggest opening of his career with this film, further strengthening his box office standing.
With the Eid holiday approaching, the film is expected to set even more records. Early estimates suggest it could earn between ₹325 crore and ₹375 crore during its extended opening weekend.
