All CNG stations across Peshawar district will remain closed for three days, the district administration announced. The decision aims to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to domestic consumers.
According to the official notification, all CNG stations in Peshawar will remain completely shut from March 21 to 23.
The closure applies across the entire district without exception.
The district administration has imposed Section 144 to ensure strict implementation of the closure orders. This legal provision prohibits any violation of the directive during the specified period.
Strict action for violations
Authorities have warned that legal action will be taken against anyone found violating the orders. Offenders will face action under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC), which deals with disobedience of official directives.
Officials said the move was taken to prioritise gas supply for domestic consumers, especially during a period of increased demand. The administration emphasized that the temporary closure is necessary to manage resources effectively.
Authorities urge compliance
The district administration has urged all stakeholders to fully comply with the orders to avoid legal consequences. It reiterated that strict enforcement will be ensured throughout the three-day period.
