Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan on Wednesday expressed gratitude to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif for providing the former with able team.
Addressing the public gathering in Lahore, Aleem Khan said, ‘’Ghazali Saleem Butt is a sincere and dedicated person. I and Ghazali Saleem Butt will together serve the community if voted into power.’’
He said, ‘’I have served one party for 10 years by putting in all-out efforts. However, when that person [PTI founder] became the prime minister, he put me behind bars in no time. He only had to make the Wasim Akram plus [Usman Buzdar] the country’s prime minister.’’
‘’A meeting was held after drugs were kept in the car of Rana Sanaullah. I had said that what happened with Rana Sanaullah was wrong. I had said that Rana Sanaullah will bear this injustice, but people in the surroundings cannot bear such a kind of injustice,'' Aleem Khan said.
‘’He [PTI] founder had said that the people receive medical treatment at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital on merit. Even today, I am the biggest of all the donors to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital.’’
''The honesty of the person is challenged when you get any portfolio. Is this the honesty of that person [the PTI founder] to impose Buzdar and Farah Gogi in Punjab and Azam Khan in KP? Pervez Khattak was removed from KP because of the fear that he might have bagged immense popularity.’’
‘’Such a chief minister was imposed in the country who did not even spare Rs 500,000. I told the then premier that he [Buzdar] also takes money for appointing the DC,’’ he said.
‘’After me, when the name of Sibtain Khan was proposed for the Punjab CM slot, he was also sent to jail. I had spent jail for 100 days,’’ Aleem Khan maintained.
