Advance bookings for the upcoming action thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge — widely known as Dhurandhar 2 — have taken off at an impressive pace ahead of its theatrical release.
The film, starring Ranveer Singh, has already broken ticket sales records in the first day of bookings, signaling strong audience interest before it even hits cinemas.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is scheduled to release in theaters on March 19, with paid premiere shows on March 18.
Excitement surged immediately after the trailer dropped, prompting a wave of early bookings. Within the first 24 hours, the spy thriller reportedly sold around 87,000 tickets.
On the ticketing platform BookMyShow alone, sales reached 87.81K tickets within a single day, highlighting the strong anticipation surrounding the film.
Rapid ticket sales in first few hours
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that as soon as advance bookings opened, the film began selling around 7,500 tickets per hour for its paid premiere shows.
Meanwhile, trade tracking website Sacnilk reported that the film generated ₹4 crore in ticket sales worldwide within just two hours of bookings going live.
Of that amount, ₹2.50 crore came from major multiplex chains, including:

Premium ticket pricing introduced
The film’s release has also seen the introduction of premium ticket categories.
A special “Super Blockbuster Plus” category has been launched for preview screenings in the Delhi NCR region, where ticket prices have reached as high as ₹2,500.
Paid premiere earnings already cross ₹9 crore
Advance sales for the paid premiere shows have already generated ₹9.03 crore, with more than 100,000 tickets sold.
The Hindi version dominates the earnings, contributing over ₹8 crore.
Meanwhile, other language versions recorded smaller but notable figures:
