Owing to changing circumstances in the region, the procedure for obtaining Pakistani visas for foreigners has been revised.
The Ministry of Interior has discontinued the options of on-arrival and prior-to-arrival visas. Pakistani visas will now be issued exclusively through relevant embassies and diplomatic missions. The decision to modify visa issuance has been taken in view of security concerns.
According to Ministry of Interior sources, the entire visa processing will occur through diplomatic channels. Applications for visas can be submitted via the current online portal.
Upon receipt of an online application, the case will be forwarded to the relevant embassy. Visas will be issued only after clearance from the respective embassy.
