Pakistan all-rounder Salman Ali Agha on Saturday received a reprimand from the International Cricket Council (ICC) for a breach of its Code of Conduct.
According to the ICC, Agha breached Article 2.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which concerns the abuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment, or fixtures and fittings during an international match.
The incident took place during the second one-day international against Bangladesh, where he was found guilty of making inappropriate gestures and showing disrespect towards cricket equipment.
The ICC added one demerit point to the all-rounder’s disciplinary record. It marks Agha’s first offence within a 24-month period.
Agha accepted the match referee’s decision and admitted his mistake.
