Light rain in Islamabad and Rawalpindi has led to a further drop in temperature, with the Meteorological Department forecasting rain, hail, and snowfall across multiple regions in the coming hours.
Light rain is continuing in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, making the weather noticeably cooler. The Met Department has forecast light rain throughout the day in Islamabad, with chances of hail at some locations.
Rain is also expected to continue in Islamabad, Murree, Galiyat, and Rawalpindi in the next few hours.
Rain spreads across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Rain has been ongoing since last night in Peshawar and surrounding districts, with more showers and thunderstorms expected. Rain is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Buner, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Bajaur, and Khyber.
Further rainfall is expected in Peshawar, Kurram, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Kohat, Hangu, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Dera Ismail Khan.
The department has also warned of hail in some areas and snowfall in mountainous regions, while clouds are expected over Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Battagram, and Mansehra.
The weather has turned colder across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Peshawar recorded 16°C, Malam Jabba 7°C, and Saidu Sharif 9°C. Bannu recorded 15°C, Dera Ismail Khan 19°C, and Abbottabad 11°C, according to the Met Department.
Rain and hail forecast across Punjab
Rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Murree, Galiyat, and Sargodha.
Other cities likely to receive rain include Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Khushab, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, and Sialkot. Rain is also continuing in Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, and Sargodha.

The Met Office has forecast rain in Lahore, Sahiwal, Mandi Bahauddin, and Narowal, along with Pakpattan, Okara, Kasur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bhakkar, Layyah, Multan, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Hailstorms are also likely in some areas of Punjab.
Rain expected in Sindh and Balochistan
Rain is likely in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, and Naushahro Feroze, along with Kashmore, Larkana, Sanghar, Sukkur, Ghotki, and Khairpur. Further rainfall is expected in Shaheed Benazirabad, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas, and Umerkot, with hail also likely in some areas of Sindh.
In Balochistan, rain is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, and Qila Abdullah, as well as Chagai, Nushki, Zhob, Kalat, Mastung, and Barkhan.
There is also a chance of rain in Kohlu, Bolan, Sibi, Naseerabad, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech, Panjgur, Awaran, Turbat, and Lasbela, with hail expected in some areas.
Nationwide rain expected within hours
The Met Department has forecast rain in different parts of the country within the next four to six hours. Rain is also likely to continue in Lahore, Jhelum, Gujranwala, and Gujrat during this period, with snowfall expected in mountainous areas.
Light rain has been recorded in different parts of Lahore, making the weather pleasant. Rain has continued intermittently and is expected to persist until 4pm. Due to rainfall, the temperature has dropped by 4°C compared to the previous day.
The minimum temperature in Lahore has been recorded at 15°C, while the maximum is expected to reach 22°C. The Met Department has also forecast cloudy weather in the city for the next five days.
