Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that Afghan soil must not be used against Pakistan and that national security will not be allowed to suffer.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited Kurram, where he celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr with officers and troops.
The Field Marshal offered Eid prayers and made special supplications for the stability and prosperity of Pakistan. On the occasion, he met officers and soldiers, conveyed Eid greetings, and commended their professional competence, high morale, and steadfast commitment to national security. He praised the troops for their professionalism and courage, particularly their achievements in Operation Ghazab Lil Haq.
The Field Marshal said the operation aimed at eliminating terrorist networks and ensuring the security of border areas. He said hostile elements must not be allowed to use Afghan territory against Pakistan and reaffirmed that no harm to national security will be permitted. He added that Pakistan remains committed to regional peace and stability.
Moreover, the Field Marshal paid tribute to the dedication of officers and soldiers and expressed pride in their resilience. He reiterated the armed forces’ firm resolve to defend Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
