Adviser to the prime minister for political affairs, Rana Sanaullah said on Saturday that Pakistan enjoys a position and importance in the world never seen before.
Speaking to the media in Faisalabad, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan condemned the aggression against Iran and stood alongside its brotherly nation, expressing grief over the martyrdom of its supreme leader. He also denounced attacks by Iran on neighbouring countries. "Today, Pakistan stands as a symbol of hope for unity and concord in global Islam," he added.
Sanaullah maintained that Pakistan currently faces various challenges, both domestic and foreign, adding that the country neither intends to wage war on Afghanistan nor seeks to occupy any of its territories. "Pakistan asserts its right under international law to prevent its land from being used for terrorism."
He stated that training for terrorism occurs in Afghanistan, involving Israel and India. "Operations will continue until terrorist hideouts in Afghanistan are fully dismantled. While some of these hideouts have already been eliminated, monitoring will ensure they do not reappear," the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwart said.
Sanaullah said: "Whenever an issue arises globally, unrest often manifests domestically. Rights and equality apply to all communities without discrimination."
He said: "The PTI is prepared for a deal but not for political engagement. No scope exists for a deal. If the son of PTI founder Imran Khan visits solely to meet his father, arrangements can be made; however, any campaign against Pakistan cannot be permitted under the law."
