Lahore Qalandars have signed Australian bowling all-rounder Daniel Sams as a replacement for Sri Lanka’s T20I captain Dasun Shanaka for the forthcoming 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, scheduled to begin on March 26.
Shanaka has withdrawn from the PSL and is set to join Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League 2026, where he will replace the injured Sam Curran.
Sams has represented Australia in 10 T20 internationals between 2020 and 2022. However, his first-class record remains limited, with only five matches to his name. His most recent appearance in the longer format came nearly eight years ago.
