Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said that no agreements can be imposed by force in the Middle East.
In a statement, Lavrov said Russia possesses strong military strength and modern defensive capability, while the world is once again turning towards the law of power.
He accused the United States of giving priority only to its own interests, adding that Washington remains focused on Venezuela and Iran due to oil.
The Russian foreign minister said Europe is being deprived of cheap energy, while Hungary and Slovakia continue efforts to secure affordable supplies.
He said that the United States is seeking further concessions on the Ukraine issue, while Europe continues to pursue a colonial-style policy, the burden of which ultimately falls upon weaker nations.
Lavrov said that the rising tensions among global powers are rendering the international system increasingly complex.
