A U.S. fighter jet crashed in Kuwait on Monday, with video footage showing the injured American pilot being transported to safety by local residents.
The incident coincides with multiple air raid alerts and heightened regional tensions.
Pilot rescued by civilians
Footage circulating online shows the pilot being placed in the trunk of a car by Kuwaiti citizens, who reportedly urged others to call an ambulance while ensuring his safety.
“Call an ambulance… He’s American, leave him,” the residents can be heard saying in the video.

Details about the cause of the crash remain unclear, and authorities have not yet confirmed if the jet was shot down or experienced a technical failure.
Air raid alerts in Kuwait
Kuwait has experienced at least three rounds of air raid sirens over the past few hours. Local authorities stated that the country’s air defences intercepted a majority of drones approaching the capital earlier today.
The situation adds to regional volatility amid ongoing military operations in the Middle East, including airstrikes in Iran and Lebanon.
